Skills

The role

Here's a role that's refreshingly straightforward - strong salary, short week, predictable time off, and zero overnight nonsense. If you want to do good medicine without sacrificing your evenings (or your sanity), this ones built right.

Location: Buckinghamshire

Working pattern: 4 days per week with a generally fixed day off
Weekends: 1 in 4
Nights / On-call: None

The Role

You'll join a well-organised first-opinion practice with a sensible caseload and a supportive team. Days are structured, consult times are realistic, and clinical decisions are respected. This is a role for vets who want consistency, autonomy, and balance - without stepping back professionally.

  • First-opinion consultations and routine surgery

  • Managing medical cases with confidence and care

  • Working closely with RVNs and support staff

  • Building long-term client relationships

  • Maintaining strong clinical and professional standards

What Were Looking For
  • RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon

  • Comfortable in first-opinion practice

  • Team-focused with a calm, professional approach

  • Someone who values balance as much as quality medicine

Why This Role Works
  • 4-day working week with a predictable day off

  • Competitive £55k-£65k salary

  • No nights, no on-call - your time stays yours

  • Fair 1 in 4 weekend rota
