Through your leadership team, you will develop the capability of our Category Managers and Buyers, strengthening commercial skills and creating a collaborative, high-performing culture focused on delivering sustainable growth and value.

Key Responsibilities
Commercial Leadership
  • Define and deliver the commercial strategy across all branded product categories.
  • Align buying teams behind shared priorities and ensure resources are focused on the highest-value opportunities.
  • Work closely with Marketing, Technology, Operations, and Finance to deliver commercial objectives.
  • Use trading data, customer insight, and market trends to guide commercial decisions.

Buying & Supplier Management
  • Lead and develop our Senior Purchasing Team, empowering them to build high-performing category teams.
  • Develop and execute our branded procurement strategy.
  • Build strategic partnerships with suppliers and negotiate commercial agreements that support long-term growth.
  • Oversee category planning, product ranging, inventory investment, and supplier performance across the business.

Trading & Performance
  • Own key commercial KPIs including revenue, margin, stock turn, and profitability.
  • Drive pricing, promotional, and trading strategies to maximise commercial performance.
  • Establish clear reporting and performance frameworks to support data-led decision making.

Skills and Experience
Essentials
  • Proven track record as an experienced commercial or buying leader delivering profitable growth within an eCommerce or omnichannel retail environment.
  • Significant leadership experience across buying, category management, trading, or commercial functions.
  • Proven success developing high-performing teams, developing talented people, and aligning multiple categories behind a shared strategy.
  • Strong commercial judgement and experience prioritising opportunities that deliver the greatest business impact.
  • Excellent supplier management and negotiation skills.
  • Deep understanding of eCommerce trading, procurement, and category management.
  • A data-driven approach alongside exceptional stakeholder management skills.

Preferred
  • An interest in music or musical instruments.
  • Experience working within international or multi-market retail operations.
