Bakery Manager - North West & West London area

At GAIL's, our Bakery Managers don't just manage bakeries; they run them.

As a Bench Manager, you will be assigned to a bakery based on business needs across our North West & West London area, including St John's Wood, Kensal Rise, Primrose Hill, West Hampstead, Maida Vale, Queen's Park, Clifton Road, Willesden Green, Camden, and Ealing.

You'll have full ownership of your bakery's people, product, customer experience, standards and commercial performance, creating a place where teams thrive, customers return and communities connect. Every day in a GAIL's bakery is different. One moment you'll be coaching a team through a busy morning rush, the next you'll be talking customers through the story behind our products, supporting the launch of a new seasonal range, or celebrating a team member's progression into their next role. It's fast-paced, hands-on and deeply rewarding, with great food, great people and real community at its heart.

• Owning the overall performance of your bakery across people, product, customer experience, place and profit
• Building, developing and inspiring a high-performing team
• Creating an inclusive culture where people feel valued, supported and accountable
• Recruiting and developing future leaders through coaching, training and succession planning
• Driving sales growth, profitability and operational excellence
• Championing exceptional standards across food, coffee and customer service
• Using commercial insights and performance data to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement
• Ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance and bakery presentation
• Building strong relationships within your local community
• Leading change positively and bringing new initiatives to life

You'll have management experience within hospitality, retail or another customer-focused environment and understand what it takes to deliver results through people.
