Senior Barber / Assessor

FG MAN Stafford is looking for an experienced Senior Barber and Barber Assessor to join the team in a varied role combining commercial barbering with coaching, mentoring and assessing the next generation of barbers. The role combines working as an experienced Senior Barber with supporting and assessing barbering apprentices throughout their apprenticeship journey. Responsibilities include delivering exceptional barbering services across classic and contemporary styles, advanced cutting, fading, clipper work, scissor-over-comb, beard shaping, shaving and styling, client consultation and customer care, mentoring apprentices and junior barbers, coaching and assessing apprentices, planning and conducting assessments, providing constructive feedback, monitoring learner progress, preparing apprentices for End-Point Assessment, maintaining assessment documentation and electronic learner records, and contributing to professional development, standardisation and quality assurance. The successful candidate will have a Level 3 qualification in Barbering, a recognised Assessor qualification such as TAQA, A1, D32/D33 or equivalent, strong current occupational competence, significant commercial barbering experience, excellent technical barbering skills, strong coaching and mentoring abilities, good IT and organisational skills, and the legal right to work in the UK. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are required where employer visits are necessary. The role offers a salary of £30,000 to £35,000 per year plus 40% commission, together with benefits including company pension, employee discount, free on-site parking, sick pay, store discount, casual dress and company events.
