The role
Make a difference every day.
At FM Conway, our HGV Drivers do far more than drive. They play a vital role in protecting communities, preventing flooding and keeping the UK's essential infrastructure running safely and efficiently.
We're looking for a skilled HGV Class 2 Driver to join our growing Water and Drainage Management team. Working as part of a supportive two-person crew, you'll use specialist vehicles and equipment to carry out a variety of drainage operations, from planned maintenance and high-pressure water jetting to emergency response work.
No two days are the same. Whether you're helping to prevent flooding after heavy rainfall, responding to urgent drainage issues or supporting the maintenance of critical infrastructure, you'll finish each shift knowing your work has made a genuine difference.
What you'll do
- Carry out a wide range of drainage services, including high-pressure water jetting (HPWJ) to inspect, clean and maintain drainage networks.
- Respond to emergency callouts, resolving blockages, overflows and other drainage issues quickly and safely.
- Support planned and reactive maintenance, helping to keep water flowing and minimise disruption to local communities.
- Accurately record completed work and identify any additional repairs or follow-up actions.
- Use our app-based reporting system to update jobs, upload photos and communicate effectively with the wider team.
You'll ideally have
We're looking for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in delivering a great service and thrives as part of a close-knit team. You'll hold a Class 2 (Category C) Licence and a valid Driver CPC, with a strong commitment to health and safety and a positive, reliable attitude. Previous drainage experience is beneficial, but it isn't essential. If you're willing to learn and bring the right mindset, we'll provide the training and support you need to build a successful career with FM Conway.
Why join FM Conway?
If you're looking for a role where every day is different, your work has real purpose and you'll be supported to grow, we'd love to hear from you.
Join our family. Build your future. Make a difference.
