The role

Build your career with a growing consultancy

For almost 30 years, KSNPM has helped clients turn plans into successful buildings through project management, cost consultancy and building surveying. Continued investment and a strong pipeline of work are driving our UK growth, creating an exciting opportunity to join us as we expand our teams in Manchester and London.

This is more than a routine surveying role. You will join a growing, people-focused consultancy where your ideas are heard, your contribution is visible and you can help shape the future of the service. As the team expands, so will the opportunities to take on responsibility and progress your career.

A culture where people can thrive

Our culture combines high standards with genuine support. Colleagues describe KSNPM as having a family feel: friendly, collaborative and built on trust. Approachable people share knowledge, solve problems together and recognise the value every colleague brings. We care about technical excellence, but we value personality, initiative and strong relationships just as highly.

You will have the freedom to use your judgement, supported by experienced colleagues when you need guidance. Through varied assignments, client exposure and collaboration with project managers and cost consultants, you can build confidence, broaden your expertise and develop the commercial and leadership skills needed for your next step.

Your development opportunity

  • Hands-on experience across the full project lifecycle, from surveys and technical advice through to delivery
  • A varied portfolio spanning commercial, residential and public-sector work
  • Opportunities to deepen your expertise in PPM and asset planning. Current projects include student accommodation, high-rise buildings, cladding and fire remediation
  • Increasing responsibility and clear scope for career progression as the UK business grows
  • The chance to influence how our Manchester and London services develop

The role

You will manage a diverse range of professional and project-based building surveying instructions. Your work may include condition and PPM surveys, lifecycle and asset planning, technical due diligence, building pathology and defect diagnosis, reinstatement cost assessments, specifications and schedules of work, refurbishment and remediation projects, contract administration, dilapidations and client reporting.

You will work closely with project managers, cost consultants and clients, balancing sound technical advice with practical, commercially aware solutions. Relationship building is central to the role.

What you will bring

  • MRICS status and a degree in Building Surveying or a related discipline
  • Broad building surveying experience, including PPM programmes, construction technology and building pathology
  • Project management and contract administration experience, with knowledge of JCT and/or SBCC contracts
  • Awareness of CDM Regulations, health and safety legislation, and current industry practice
  • Clear report writing, strong organisation and confident client communication
  • A proactive, solution-focused approach and the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Competence with Microsoft Office and CAD software, plus a full UK driving licence
  • Competitive salary and performance-related bonus.
  • Generous annual leave.
  • Ongoing CPD, training and educational support.
  • Exposure to a diverse portfolio of significant projects.
  • Clear career progression within an ambitious, expanding consultancy.
