Main duties and responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation of tax returns for review by the wider Tax team.
  • Complete reconciliations relating to amended 2024/25 tax returns, identifying relevant underpayments and overpayments.
  • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of the January tax payment spreadsheet.
  • Check tax payment information against HMRC records and update relevant adjustments, including those relating to partner joiners and leavers.
  • Support the processing and journalling of tax payments and refunds arising from compliance activity.
  • Create and maintain secure iManage folders for individual partners.
  • Assist with transferring existing partner tax documentation into the appropriate secure locations.

  • Provide wider administrative support to the Partner Tax team as required.

About you

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage detailed tasks accurately.
  • A methodical approach to reconciliations and financial information.
  • An understanding of the importance of confidentiality when handling personal and financial data.
  • The ability to work independently while working effectively as part of a wider team.
  • Previous exposure to tax returns, HMRC processes, financial reconciliations or journals would be advantageous but is not essential.
