This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative, well respected team, working on a varied and challenging caseload, while benefiting from strong opportunities for professional development and career progression.

What you'll do

You will manage a caseload of household and commercial property recovery claims on behalf of leading insurer clients, covering a range of perils, including fire, flood and product liability. Claim values typically exceed £10,000, and we are particularly interested in candidates with experience handling claims valued between £10,000 and £100,000. Experience of handling claims exceeding £100,000 would be advantageous.

This is a technically demanding role with regular client interaction. You will provide practical, high-quality legal advice, manage your own caseload, and build strong relationships with clients.

The team works closely with insurer clients, delivering training seminars and workshops on key legal developments. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to client development initiatives and assist with the preparation and delivery of technical training sessions.

  • Manage a varied caseload of recovery claims from initial instruction through to resolution
  • Assess funding, recovery prospects and overall case strategy at the outset of claims
  • Investigate liability and causation issues, obtaining and analysing key evidence
  • Liaise with third parties, experts and counsel to build and progress claims effectively
  • Prepare high-quality legal documentation, including pre-action correspondence and court pleadings
  • Represent clients at hearings, conferences, mediations and trials as required
  • Drive settlement negotiations and maximise recovery outcomes for insurer clients
