About this opportunity

Cumberland Council is looking for an enthusiastic, organised and proactive Project Support Officer to join our ambitious SEND Reform Programme.

This is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of a once-in-a-generation programme of change across education, health and care on a two-year fixed-term contract. The SEND reforms aim to create a more inclusive, effective and financially sustainable system, ensuring children and young people with SEND receive the right support, at the right time, and as close to home as possible. The programme spans early years, mainstream schools, post-16 providers, alternative provision settings, health services and wider local authority functions.

As a key member of the programme team, you will support the coordination and administration of multiple workstreams, helping to ensure effective delivery across partners and settings. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in project management, programme delivery, transformation or public sector improvement whilst contributing to one of the most significant reform programmes affecting children and young people across Cumberland.

This role is available on a fixed-term basis.
