The role

We do What we Say - That's why we need people like you to help us deliver on our promises. People who enjoy getting things done.

We have an opportunity for a Learning and Development Delivery Manager to join Clancy on a maternity cover basis, overseeing the day-to-day delivery of learning and development across the business. From compliance training to management and leadership programmes, you'll make sure training is well planned, delivered effectively and meets the needs of our teams.

You'll lead our team of L&D Coordinators and Administrators, working closely with colleagues across the business and training providers to plan learning, make the best use of our resources and help colleagues access the training and development they need.

Here are some of the activities you will be involved in...

  • Providing line management and direction to a team of L&D Coordinators and Administrators, allocating workloads, setting priorities, supporting performance and development, and holding regular one-to-one meetings to maintain a high-quality, customer-focused training administration service
  • Coordinating the delivery of Management and Leadership Development Programmes and contract-specific development initiatives, acting as a key point of contact for delegates, managers, training providers and HR Business Partners
  • Forecasting future training requirements by reviewing compliance needs, workforce skills gaps, qualification expiry dates, business growth plans and feedback from stakeholders.
  • Working closely with the Training Manager to make the best use of internal trainers, ensuring courses take place in the right locations and trainer workloads and diaries are effectively planned.
  • Taking responsibility for operator training requirements through the Clancy Training Academy, reviewing course bookings and sign-ups to ensure demand is planned and scheduled effectively.
  • Building strong working relationships across the business to understand learning needs, agree priorities and encourage colleagues to make the most of available training and development opportunities.
  • Leading regular meetings with regional training contacts and key stakeholders to review training requirements, compliance, workforce capability and upcoming learning initiatives.
  • Monitoring course bookings and attendance, checking that prerequisites are met and handling cancellations to make the best use of training places and minimise unnecessary costs.
  • Providing guidance and support on our Learning Management System (LMS), helping training contacts, managers and users make effective use of the system and maintain accurate training records.

We would love to hear from you if...

You have experience of managing learning and development delivery and leading a team, with a practical and organised approach to planning workloads and managing competing priorities.

You're confident working with people at all levels, from internal stakeholders to external training providers, and can use training data to plan ahead, monitor compliance and make sure resources are being used effectively.

You'll also have experience of learning management systems, training administration and development programmes.

Due to the nature of the role a full UK driving licence is also required.
