Parts Supervisor

Role overview

To professionally manage and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Parts Department in line with the needs of the business. The role is responsible for maximising parts sales, stock availability, stock accuracy, profitability and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

Your key responsibilities as a Parts Supervisor will be to:

Parts Operations & Stock Management

• Supervise and support the Parts Team.
• Manage stock control, stock takes, obsolescence, returns and inventory accuracy.
• Identify, source and order parts in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Process enquiries, orders, invoices and credit notes accurately.
• Maintain stock security and compliance with manufacturer standards.

Sales & Profitability

• Maximise retail, trade and internal parts sales opportunities.
• Drive gross profit through effective purchasing and pricing.
• Support achievement of departmental financial targets.

Leadership & Team Management

• Lead, motivate and develop Parts Advisors.
• Conduct performance reviews and identify training needs.
• Promote teamwork, accountability and customer service excellence.

Customer Service

• Deliver excellent service to internal and external customers.
• Manage customer expectations regarding availability and lead times.
• Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally.

Compliance & Governance

• Comply with Company, manufacturer and Health & Safety requirements.
• Maintain accurate reporting and administration processes.

About You

To become a Parts Supervisor at Citygate Automotive, we are looking for candidates that ideally possess the following skills and qualities:

· Excellent customer handling skills

· Previous experience working in a similar position

· Previous experience of working with a main dealer Parts Department

· Good Communication skills

· The ability to work on your own initiative

· Good administration skills

· Proactive ability to follow up
