The role

We are looking to recruit two Compliance Managers to join our motivated and dedicated Inspections and Centre Monitoring teams. This is an exciting time to join us as we continue our mission to safeguard the security and integrity of Cambridge International exams and assessments.

What you'll do

Reporting to a Senior Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of Compliance Officers (and, in the case of the Inspections Manager, an Assistant Manager) who:- risk assess centres (schools and exam venues) for inclusion in quality assurance activities; organise physical inspection visits to, video-based review meetings and paper-based reviews of, our centres across the world; monitor centre compliance with our exam regulations; follow-up on quality assurance activities with centres; and, in the case of the Inspections Manager, arrange and oversee the work of a pool of third-party inspectors (including recruitment, training and standardisation of individuals within the pool). Through these activities you will seek to support centres to improve and maintain the security and integrity of Cambridge International exams and assessments.

To do this, you will be:

  • Leading the team through their established processes, whilst creatively thinking of new ways to further support our centres.
  • Developing data to identify trends; producing recommendations for centre improvement or potential centre quality assurance activities
  • Managing the collection of information and evidence from a variety of internal and external stakeholders; identifying which information is most important to obtain, and making sure it is collated quickly and efficiently.
  • Evaluating facts and evidence; making informed decisions on the additional support needed at our centres, identifying additional risks and discussing with the relevant stakeholders.
  • Decision making; from requesting detailed action plans to recommending more serious corrective action, you will be responsible for making and communicating fair decisions.
  • Providing guidance and support to your team, who will then support our centres to administer exams correctly in line with our regulations.
  • Continuously improving processes, procedures and external guidelines; ensuring we are always following best practice.
  • Sitting on Stage One appeal panels in relation to any Compliance team
  • Managing a budget of £650k, ensuring that any spending is appropriate and in line with the set budget (Inspections role only)
