Nice to have
At Burberry, we believe creativity opens spaces. Our purpose is to unlock the power of imagination to push boundaries and open new possibilities for our people, our customers and our communities. This is the core belief that has guided Burberry since it was founded in 1856 and is central to how we operate as a company today.
We aim to provide an environment for creative minds from different backgrounds to thrive, bringing a wide range of skills and experiences to everything we do. As a purposeful, values-driven brand, we are committed to being a force for good in the world as well, creating the next generation of sustainable luxury for customers, driving industry change and championing our communities.
This role is responsible for the operational coordination of the Burberry Technology Architecture practice, including governance forums, documentation, resource planning, standards administration, practice communications and dayto-day operating routines. The role ensures the Architecture practice runs in a structured, consistent and wellgoverned way across Burberry IT, with clear follow-up, action tracking and stakeholder engagement to keep agreed activities moving.
The Architecture Practice Co-ordinator keeps the IT Architecture practice running smoothly. They coordinate architecture forums and governance cadences, maintain documentation and decision records, track architecture demand and resource allocation, and manage the operational activities that allow Enterprise Architects, Senior Solution Architects and Solution Architects to focus on strategy, design, governance and delivery support. The role requires someone who can build effective working relationships, communicate clearly and persuasively, and help move agreed actions forward in a constructive, organised and consistent way. This is an operational coordination role, not an architecture design role. The role does not define architecture strategy, set standards or approve designs, but ensures architecture decisions, standards, records and ways of working are properly captured, maintained and followed up.
• Accountable for the coordination and administration of the Architecture practice, including forums, actions, documentation, standards administration and practice communications.
• Accountable for maintaining visibility of architecture demand, resource allocation and capacity constraints, but not for architecture prioritisation or design decisions.
• Key interfaces include Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, Portfolio Management & Transformation Office, product and programme teams, Enterprise Data, Enterprise Platforms & Operations, Cyber Security, Finance, Procurement and contingent architecture resources.
The recruitment process varies depending on the role, and may include telephone interviews, virtual calls, face-to-face interviews, assessment centres or testing
Burberry is an Equal Opportunities Employer and as such, treats all applications equally and recruits purely on the basis of skills and experience.
