You will establish governance frameworks that reinforce security, financial accountability,

architecture evolves to support growth, enhance developer productivity, and maximize
infrastructure investments. By integrating modern technologies and scalable architectures, you
will empower teams to navigate complexity with agility and purpose-building a resilient, high
performance foundation that accelerates innovation and drives business success.

Among your responsibilities, you will:

  • Define and Lead the IT Architecture and Data Strategy
    • Articulate a clear, forward-looking vision for architecture and data, aligning capabilities with BCG's strategic goals.
    • Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture Senior Directors to ensure alignment of IT architecture across all layers.
    • Champion architectural principles and best practices to ensure interoperability, compliance, and operational resilience, with a focus on Secure Trust, reliability, and FinOps.
    • Identify and integrate emerging technologies (e.g., AI-driven observability, zero-trust architectures) that enhance BCG's enterprise capabilities.
    • Drive leading the ~70 IT resources associated with the Data Product Portfolio, with direct line management of the Data Portfolio Technical Area Lead Senior Director.
  • Drive Cross-Layer Collaboration and Governance
    • Establish governance frameworks to ensure alignment and standardisation across all IT architecture layers, incorporating input from Enterprise Architecture COE.
    • Promote collaboration between layers to streamline workflows, reduce silos, and deliver consistent value to end users.
    • Lead platform-wide initiatives that advance security, reliability, and financial efficiency (e.g., proactive cost optimization, robust monitoring systems, incident response improvements).
    • Ensure adherence to Secure Trust principles, including rigorous authentication, authorization, and secrets management protocols.
  • Deliver Business Value and Results
    • Translate business goals into architectural outcomes by driving improvements in scalability, reliability, and security while managing costs.
    • Oversee the delivery of cross-layer initiatives, ensuring interdependencies are effectively managed and objectives are met on time.
    • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) (e.g., uptime, cost efficiency, security compliance) to measure performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
    • Optimise financial operations (FinOps) by implementing proactive cost monitoring
and efficiency measures, ensuring sustainable investments in technology.
  • Engage and Manage Stakeholders Across BCG
    • Proactively engage with senior stakeholders across BCGX, Core, and the broader organization, ensuring alignment of IT architecture priorities with business needs.
    • Collaborate closely with BCG's C-Suite, including CIO, CFO, and MDPs, to align enterprise IT strategy with business objectives and communicate progress effectively.
    • Act as the key advocate for IT architecture and data strategy, fostering trust and alignment with stakeholders at all levels, from executive leadership to operational teams.
    • Cultivate partnerships with external vendors, negotiating contracts and ensuring alignment with IT architecture standards for quality, security, and performance.
    • Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities, ensuring the WWIT Technology team stays at the forefront of industry trends and practices.
  • Enhance Security, Reliability, and Operational Excellence
    • Champion security as a foundational pillar, ensuring every layer adheres to Secure Trust principles, including zero-trust networking, data encryption, and robust incident response protocols.
    • Lead initiatives to improve reliability, such as implementing advanced observability tools (e.g., AI-driven monitoring, predictive analytics) and enhancing disaster recovery plans.
    • Embed operational excellence into enterprise architecture through automation, proactive capacity planning, and adherence to industry best practices (e.g., Well Architected Framework).
  • Optimise Product Lifecycle Management
    • Continuously analyse performance metrics and user feedback to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
    • Partner with Information Security and Risk Management teams to conduct regular evaluations and ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.
