Working under the guidance of the Commercialisation Managers, the role combines partner engagement, commercial coordination, operational delivery, compliance and performance reporting.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

How to Play

The role is responsible for supporting the full lifecycle of commercialisation activity, from responding to enquiries and developing proposals through to coordinating delivery, monitoring performance and maintaining accurate records. The Junior Commercialisation Manager will build effective relationships with brand partners, agencies, occupiers and internal teams, contribute to income and visitor-experience objectives, and progressively take ownership of agreed projects and accounts.

  • Support the generation and conversion of commercial enquiries, preparing proposals, schedules and supporting information for prospective brand partners, pop-up retailers, promoters and agencies.
  • Use social media, including LinkedIn, to raise the profile of the commercialisation team, showcase successful activations, develop industry relationships and generate new income opportunities, working within agreed brand and communications guidelines.
  • Plan and maintain a pipeline of relevant social media content, collaborating with marketing colleagues and partners to source stories, imagery, case studies and commercially focused updates.
  • Coordinate the end-to-end delivery of agreed activations, including site selection, documentation, approvals, operational planning, arrival, trading and departure.
  • Develop strong day-to-day relationships with partners and stakeholders, providing a responsive, professional and commercially focused service.
  • Ensure activity complies with British Land and centre standards, contractual requirements, health and safety procedures and relevant legislation.
  • Maintain an accurate commercialisation pipeline, booking records, income data and account reconciliations, escalating risks or variances promptly.
  • Use Excel to maintain and analyse commercial performance data and prepare accurate monthly management team reports, dashboards, presentations and case studies covering income, pipeline, occupancy, forecasts, social media engagement and customer feedback, highlighting trends, risks and recommended actions.
  • Actively explore, adopt and share appropriate new technologies, including machine learning and automation tools, to streamline processes, improve reporting and enhance team efficiency, while following company policies on data security, governance and responsible use.
  • Attend progress meetings, contribute ideas for new revenue opportunities and provide cover or support across the wider commercialisation portfolio when required.

How to Win

  • Contribute to the delivery of the commercialisation business plan, including income, occupancy, visitor-experience and partner-satisfaction objectives.
  • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of relevant brands, operators, promoters and agencies, using LinkedIn and other appropriate social media channels to identify prospects, start conversations and progress opportunities in a timely manner.
  • Build the team's external profile through regular, engaging social media content that demonstrates commercialisation expertise, celebrates partner success and supports lead generation.
  • Deliver well-planned, safe and high-quality activations that enhance the asset and minimise disruption to customers and occupiers.
  • Demonstrate sound commercial judgement in preparing proposals, monitoring agreed terms and identifying opportunities to improve income or efficiency.
  • Build productive, long-term relationships with customers, occupiers, community partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Support the review and performance management of appointed commercialisation, brand and marketing agencies.

How to Measure

  • Income delivered against budget and the value, quality and conversion of the opportunity pipeline.
  • Successful delivery of activations against agreed timelines, standards, contractual terms and partner expectations.
  • Accuracy, timeliness and clarity of Excel-based management team reporting, including pipeline, booking, income, forecast, compliance and reconciliation information.
  • Growth in the team's social media presence and engagement, including LinkedIn activity, qualified commercial leads and income opportunities attributable to social media.
  • Positive feedback from brand partners, customers, occupiers and internal stakeholders.
  • All commercialisation activities comply with relevant legislation, British Land policies and asset operating procedures.
  • Evidence of new ideas, continuous improvement and increasing ownership of projects under the guidance of the Commercialisation Manager.
  • Demonstrable efficiency, quality or insight improvements achieved through the appropriate adoption of new technology, including machine learning and automation.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the business, occupiers, customers, agencies and external partners to support the successful operation and commercial performance of the campus.
  • Build effective internal and external relationships, representing the business professionally at meetings, presentations, networking events and industry forums.
  • Contribute to operational activities, working groups and incident management as required.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and enhance services.
  • Travel to other British Land locations and attend external events where required.
  • Complete relevant training, follow company policies and undertake other reasonable duties in line with business needs.
