- Support investigations where required and ensure appropriate improvements and corrective actions are implemented.
- Keep up to date with relevant changes in legislation and company procedures and communicate these effectively to the site team.
- Work with project teams to develop, review and monitor construction programmes.
- Monitor site progress and ensure labour and resources are effectively deployed to achieve programme milestones.
- Manage site logistics and coordinate construction activities to support efficient delivery.
- Oversee the ordering and effective management of plant, tools and materials, ensuring resources are available when required.
- Ensure materials are appropriately managed to minimise waste while maintaining productivity.
- Ensure relevant environmental controls are established, understood and maintained.
- Ensure effective quality control arrangements are implemented throughout the works.
- Provide reports and support investigations as required, implementing improvements and lessons learned.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with clients, stakeholders, subcontractors and the wider project team.
- Ensure supervisory assessments and competency requirements are completed in accordance with project and company standards.

You will ideally have:
- Significant experience across a range of heavy civil engineering works.
- Previous experience in a Construction Superintendent, Senior General Foreman or comparable senior site leadership position.
- A strong track record of managing both direct labour and subcontractor workforces.
- Experience leading Foremen, General Foremen and multidisciplinary construction teams.
- Excellent Health & Safety knowledge with a demonstrable record of managing works to high safety standards.
- A strong understanding of RAMS, HSEQ procedures and safe systems of work.
- A clear understanding of Zero Harm principles and the leadership skills to drive a positive safety culture across site.
- Experience planning and monitoring construction programmes and effectively managing site resources.
- Strong knowledge of site logistics and the management of labour, plant, tools and materials.
- Good understanding of construction quality requirements and quality control processes.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple work fronts and competing priorities.
