Job Summary
Aureos Infrastructure Services Limited is seeking a skilled and organized Chargehand to oversee and assist a team of operatives on our infrastructure projects. In this role, you will act as a working supervisor, bridging the gap between site management and the hands-on workforce. You will be responsible for ensuring that daily construction and maintenance activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in strict accordance with project specifications and quality standards.

Job Responsibilities
* **Supervision and Leadership:** Direct, motivate, and supervise a team of site operatives, delegating daily tasks and monitoring progress to ensure deadlines are met.
* **Hands-on Assistance:** Work alongside the team, performing practical infrastructure construction and maintenance tasks as required.
* **Health and Safety Compliance:** Enforce strict adherence to company health and safety regulations, ensuring all team members wear appropriate PPE, follow safe working practices, and conduct toolbox talks.
* **Quality Control:** Monitor the quality of workmanship, ensuring all completed tasks meet Aureos Infrastructure Services Limited's standards, engineering drawings, and specifications.
* **Resource Management:** Coordinate the efficient use of materials, tools, and plant machinery on-site, and report any equipment maintenance needs or material shortages to the Site Supervisor.
* **Reporting:** Maintain accurate daily logs of work completed, labor hours, and any incidents or delays on-site, reporting progress regularly to the Site Manager.

Job Qualifications
* **Experience:** Proven experience working in a supervisory or senior operative capacity (such as a Chargehand or Ganger) within the infrastructure, civil engineering, or construction sectors.
* **Technical Skills:** Strong practical knowledge of infrastructure works, including groundworks, drainage, pipe laying, or concrete works.
* **Certifications:** Valid CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card is required. SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) or equivalent safety certification is highly desirable.
* **Leadership Abilities:** Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead, direct, and resolve conflicts within a physical working environment.
* **Problem-Solving:** Ability to read construction drawings, interpret site instructions, and resolve practical site issues effectively.
* **Driving License:** A valid UK driving license is preferred for travel between different site locations.
