Requirements

What we're looking for

To be considered, you must have:

5+ years' experience as a Senior/ Project Manager, working for Tier 1's/ Principal Contractors on large scale projects.
Experience managing client relationships and multiple project stakeholders.
SMSTS (required)
Experience managing large scale civil engineering projects, and multi-disciplinary teams.
Must have Right to Work in the UK and UK Driving License (sponsorship not offered).

Nice to have

It would be an advantage, but is not essential, to have:

Experience working on or managing Water and/or Wastewater Treatment Projects.
An Engineering/ Technical background.

Education & certifications

Degree, HNC or HND in an Engineering or Construction Management related field (Desired).

What you'll get

£550 per day, Inside IR35 (day rate can be flexible for the right candidate)
6 Months with the view to extend.
Monday - Friday. Working weeks are usually 45-50 hours.
Location: Manchester.

The role

Astute's Contract Team is partnering with a leading Civil Engineering company to recruit a Senior Project Manager for its Manchester site, working for a Principal Contractor on a Wastewater treatment project.

This 6-month contract role is on-site and offers £550 per day plus the opportunity to have the contract extended.

What you'll do

Reporting to the Delivery Lead, you will:

Take overall responsibility for the management and delivery of the Wastewater Treatment Works upgrade project, overseeing all site operations and project activities.
Lead and manage the project team, including Project Managers, Site Engineers, M&E Engineers, Planners, Commercial and Design teams.
Oversee subcontractor performance, programme delivery, resources and project milestones, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to specification.
Manage client relationships and act as a key point of contact, providing regular progress updates and presenting monthly project performance reports.
Oversee contractual administration, commercial performance, and project documentation, working closely with the contract manager to manage project obligations, risks and costs.
