What we're looking for
- Candidates must have a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent.
- Must have proven experience as a Civil Supervisor, Civil Superintendent or Construction Manager within heavy civil engineering projects or essentially Energy from Waste.
- Must hold a valid SMSTS, CSCS/CCNS/SCC/Safe pass or equivalent.

The role
Astute's Power Team is partnering with a leading business in the Energy from Waste sector to recruit a Civil Construction Manager for its West Midlands site.

What you'll do
Responsibilities of the Civil Construction Manager
Reporting to the Construction Manager on site you will:
- Review and verify Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS), ensuring all civil works are executed safely and in accordance with approved procedures.
- Oversee civil construction activities, ensuring delivery in line with contractual obligations, project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Take ownership of Civil Turnover Package definitions, quality control inspections, and verification of completed works against project scope and specifications.
- Define and lead the Civil Supervision Team, coordinating with contractors and project stakeholders while providing accurate construction progress reporting.
How you'll work
This long-term contract role is on site and offers a competitive day rate, Outside IR35.
