Rossendale School are recruiting for a Housekeeper to join our support team! We are looking for passionate people to make sure our sites are safe and comfortable, whilst covering all aspects of housekeeping. You will will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the homes and will have a flexible approach and be able to respond quickly to requests for assistance.

We're looking for someone who takes pride in creating clean, welcoming spaces and doesn't mind getting stuck in. No two days are quite the same, but your responsibilities will include:

• Keeping classrooms, learning spaces, toilets/washrooms and communal areas clean, tidy, and ready for the next school day.

• Vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and wiping down surfaces throughout the school.

• Assisting with laundry, including towels used for swimming and other school activities.

• Completing simple cleaning checklists to help keep everything on track, and keeping an eye on cleaning supplies - letting us know when stock needs replenishing.

Rossendale is a day school catering for the needs of pupils who are autistic and academically able. All pupils have a draft or final Education, Health and Care Plan.

The School provides education for young people aged from 7 - 18 years of age. Key stages 3 and 4 are based on the main school site, whilst Key stage 2 and 5 are based at our Campus which is based in the local community. At Key stage 4 and 5 we offer a wide range of GCSE subjects, BTEC Awards, Functional Skills, ASDAN and Entry Level qualifications and A level courses at the sixth form provision. Given the disrupted nature of our pupils' education, prior to their admission to Rossendale, we have had some outstanding examination results. The school admits both boys and girls.

You don't need to be a cleaning expert, but you'll be reliable, hardworking, and happy to roll up your sleeves. You'll take pride in your work, have a good eye for detail, and enjoy being part of a friendly school team.

Previous cleaning experience would be beneficial, but just as important is a positive attitude and a willingness to help create a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our pupils and staff.
