The role

Are you ready to help shape the future of logistics at AO? As our WMS Project Manager, you'll lead the delivery of warehouse and fulfilment projects that keep our operations moving and our technology delivering real value.

Working with Warehouse Managers, Operations teams, Solution Architects, WMS Consultants and senior stakeholders, you'll make sure solutions are designed, built and implemented successfully. From managing scope, timelines and risks to driving adoption and change, you'll play a key role in delivering projects that improve how we operate.

You'll bring people together, challenge where needed, and ensure strong governance across every stage of delivery. If you enjoy solving complex problems, leading large-scale change and making a real impact in a fast-paced logistics environment, we'd love to hear from you!

What you'll do

You'll own and deliver multiple WMS projects, keeping scope, timelines, budgets and quality on track. You'll manage dependencies across D365 modules and external systems, and work closely with Warehouse Managers, Operations Leaders, Supply Chain teams and IT to align deliverables with business goals. You'll challenge requirements to enforce standardisation, facilitate cross-team communication, support change management activities, and establish governance standards for scope, RAID management and decision-making. Clear documentation, transparent reporting and alignment with PMO standards are all part of your toolkit.

A Few Things About You

  • Proven experience delivering technical logistics, supply chain and/or fulfilment projects end-to-end
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, logistics processes and workflows
  • Ability to translate operational needs into structured WMS requirements
  • Experience in fast-paced, retail-focused environments
  • Experience in strategic transformation programmes
  • Skilled at managing third-party implementers, suppliers and offshore teams
  • Confident stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills
  • Proactive governance, RAID management and communication abilities
  • Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall delivery methods
  • D365 WMS expertise: design, configuration, deployment, mobile device flows, wave templates, location directives, packing & shipping, inventory management
  • Understanding of functional and technical elements (extensions, integrations, Power Platform)
  • Support testing cycles (SIT, UAT) and ensure acceptance criteria reflect operational requirements
  • Bonus points for knowledge of Azure DevOps, Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, WCS/WES integrations, warehouse automation, and integration technologies like API, batch jobs and EDI

In their own words

About the company & team

We're big on appliances and electricals, REALLY big. Washing machines, fridge freezers and TVs? They're our bread and butter. Mobiles, Airwraps and Ring doorbells? Yep, those too. If it plugs in, powers up or makes life easier, AO probably has it.

But we're more than that... For over 25 years, trust has been at the heart of everything we do, helping us become the UK's most trusted electrical retailer. Our customers rate us 4.9 on Trustpilot from nearly ONE MILLION reviews and more 5-star ratings than any other UK electrical retailer, because they know they can rely on us and it's the exact same for our AOers too.

We truly believe it's more than just a job, we genuinely care about each other and our impact on making our customers lives easier, by helping them brilliantly. Everyone here knows how their role makes a difference. Our people are our superpower, so, when it comes to finding new AOers, we know it's about more than just a CV, it's about what makes you, YOU.
