The role

Group Financial Control & Reporting Lead | £95,000 to £100,000 per annum

Altum Consulting is partnering with a global luxury group to recruit an experienced Group Financial Control & Reporting Lead to support the business through a critical year-end reporting and external audit period.

Operating across multiple international markets, the business offers a complex, fast-paced environment with a strong global presence. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong finance professional to take ownership of Group financial reporting, external audit delivery and technical accounting within a sophisticated, multinational organisation.

What you'll do

  • Group Audit Leadership: Take ownership of the FY2026 external audit, acting as the primary point of contact and coordinating audit deliverables, timelines and outstanding issues across international finance teams.

  • Group Financial Reporting: Lead the preparation, review and delivery of consolidated IFRS financial statements and disclosures, working closely with the Group Consolidation Lead to ensure accurate and timely reporting.

  • Technical Accounting: Prepare and review IFRS technical accounting papers covering complex areas including business combinations, acquisition accounting, goodwill and impairment, fair value measurement, revenue recognition, leases and financial instruments.

  • Financial Control: Review key year-end balance sheet reconciliations, accounting policies and supporting schedules, ensuring strong financial controls and audit readiness across the Group.

  • Stakeholder Management: Partner with senior finance leadership, external auditors and regional finance teams to resolve audit queries, technical accounting matters and reporting challenges.

  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to strengthen financial reporting processes, improve audit efficiency and establish sustainable documentation and controls.

  • Regulatory Developments: Support IFRS 18 readiness and other relevant developments in financial reporting standards.
