The role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Regulatory Reporting Manager to join our team.

The Impact You Will Have

We are looking for a Senior Regulatory Reporting Manager to serve as the cornerstone of our UK regulatory reporting function within AGCS SE. Based in the UK, this is a high-profile position at the intersection of local regulatory accountability and global reporting excellence - acting as the Finance representative to UK regulatory authorities including the PRA, FCA, FSCS, and FOS, whilst ensuring full alignment with AGCS' group-wide reporting framework headquartered in Germany. The role carries a dual reporting line - functionally to the Head of Global Insurance Closing & Reporting in Germany, and locally to the UK Branch Manager - reflecting the importance we place on both technical rigour and clear UK branch ownership.

You will be the principal liaison between the UK branch and global accounting teams, driving accuracy, governance, and timely delivery across all UK regulatory submissions, while also coordinating on international obligations such as US NAIC and state premium returns. This is a role for an ACA qualified accountant who thrives at the centre of complexity: balancing local compliance demands with group-wide standards, building trusted relationships with regulators, and bringing a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset to a critical area of our business.

Some of your specific responsibilities could include

Regulatory Reporting and Reporting Oversight

  • Be actively involved in the preparation of regulatory reports including the coordination, review, and validation of all UK and US-related regulatory returns relevant to AGCS SE and its UK branch (e.g. Solvency UK QRTs, UK FSCS, UK FOS, and other relevant UK regulatory reporting plus US State Premium and US NAIC IID related UK submissions).
  • Ensure proper application and interpretation of relevant regulation (e.g. UK PRA and FCA rules), maintaining up-to-date documentation and guidance.
  • Act as the first local reviewer for reports prepared by central reporting teams, ensuring UK-specific requirements and interpretations are accurately reflected.
  • Oversee the timely and complete submission of regulatory returns, ensuring appropriate documentation and audit trail.
  • Coordinate and lead a cross functional UK regulatory reporting advisory group meeting
  • Liaise closely with the UK branch manager and relevant business functions to ensure regulatory reporting accurately reflects underlying business structure and dynamics.
  • Apply understanding of underwriting and business activities to validate reported figures, investigate anomalies, and provide insightful explanations of regulatory reporting matters to local and global management.

Regulatory Governance, Control and Documentation

  • Establish, document, and maintain regulatory reporting processes, control frameworks, and review checklists in line with AGCS global standards.
  • Define clear materiality and variance thresholds for regulatory reporting and ensure effective segregation of duties between preparers and reviewers.
  • Lead the implementation and maintenance of robust E2E documentation and change management for UK regulatory and US NAIC related reporting processes.
  • Collaborate with central accounting and reporting teams to enhance reconciliation controls between source systems and regulatory submissions.
  • Ensure definitions, assumptions, and methodologies are documented and consistently applied across different regulatory returns.

Regulatory Liaison and Assurance

  • Serve as the primary UK-based finance contact for the PRA, FCA, and auditors ensuring transparent and proactive communication on all branch regulatory reporting matters.
  • Coordinate responses to regulatory queries, inspections, or information requests in close cooperation with branch manager and global accounting, reporting and risk management teams of AGCS.
  • Lead local sign-off coordination with the UK branch manager and ensure full compliance with PRA SS40/15 and other relevant supervisory expectations

Know-how, Change and Project Management

  • Track and assess impacts of new regulatory requirements and stay close to local business management to early on assess regulatory implications of changes on the business side - ensure impact of changes are communicated and understood across global finance and local branch teams.
  • Act as local and global knowledge hub for UK-specific regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitate training sessions and knowledge sharing with global accounting staff.
  • Contribute to global projects aimed at improving reporting quality, consistency and efficiency across the AGCS regulatory landscape.

What You'll Bring to the Role

  • Experience in UK financial and regulatory reporting in the insurance industry with proven experience and understanding of relevant UK regulations (PRA, FSCS) - essential
  • Experience in liaising directly with the PRA or other regulators and auditors.
  • Experience in cross-functional collaboration, and effectiveness in building strong relationships with stakeholders in an international environment.
  • Experience in managing change in a volatile, complex and ambiguous environment, particularly in the context of implementing new finance processes and tools.
