The role

Your new role

Help us create opportunities, transform lives and build stronger communities.

Exceptional communities don't happen by chance. They happen when organisations, partners and people come together around a shared purpose.

We're looking for an ambitious, influential and strategic Head of Fundraising, Social Value & Partnerships to lead the next phase of our Foundation's growth and impact.

This is a rare opportunity to join a Foundation that sits at the heart of communities, working alongside residents, partners and stakeholders to tackle inequality, unlock potential and create opportunities that help people thrive.

As a key member of our leadership team, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping how we secure investment, maximise social value and develop powerful partnerships that improve lives across our communities. You'll turn ideas into action, identify emerging needs, attract significant external funding and ensure every investment delivers meaningful and measurable impact.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Develop and deliver a sustainable fundraising strategy that supports our long-term ambitions and expands our impact.
  • Secure significant income through trusts and foundations, Social Value commitments, corporate partnerships, statutory funding, philanthropy and collaborative sector initiatives.
  • Identify emerging resident and community needs and translate them into innovative, fundable projects.
  • Lead the full fundraising lifecycle, from opportunity identification and bid development through to reporting and stewardship.
  • Develop and embed our Social Value and Impact Framework, ensuring we can clearly evidence the difference our work makes.
  • Use social value insights and impact data to support investment decisions and maximise outcomes for residents and communities.
  • Produce compelling impact reports and case studies for funders, partners, Trustees and senior stakeholders.
  • Build and grow strategic partnerships across housing, health, local government, business, education and the voluntary sector.
  • Act as a senior ambassador for the Foundation, identifying opportunities for collaboration, investment and innovation.
  • Lead, inspire and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to the strategic direction of the Foundation as a member of the leadership team.

What You'll Need

  • Significant experience leading successful fundraising programmes within a charity, foundation, housing association or community-focused organisation.
  • A track record of securing substantial grants, sponsorships and partnership funding, including five and six-figure awards.
  • Experience developing and managing high-value partnerships across the public, private and voluntary sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of social value and impact measurement frameworks, including Social Return on Investment (SROI), National TOMs and outcomes-based reporting.
  • Experience translating community and organisational priorities into compelling, fundable projects.
  • Significant leadership experience, with the ability to develop and motivate high-performing teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, relationship-building and influencing skills.
  • Experience presenting to Boards, Trustees or senior leadership teams.
  • Strong financial planning, budget management and forecasting skills.
  • Outstanding communication, bid writing and presentation abilities.

It Would Be Great If You Also Have

  • Experience working within social housing, community investment or a charitable foundation environment.
  • Knowledge of issues affecting residents and communities, including financial inclusion, employment, skills, health and wellbeing, and community development.
  • Membership of a relevant professional body such as the Chartered Institute of Fundraising, Social Value UK or the Chartered Institute of Housing.
  • Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce, Raiser's Edge or Dynamics.
  • Experience commissioning, evaluating or managing community-based programmes.
