Senior Mobile App Developer (iOS / Android)

Manchester (1-2 days per week in office) | Hybrid Working | £60,000-£80,000 + Benefits

We are looking for a Senior Mobile App Developer to take ownership of mobile application development within a growing technology business. This is an opportunity to lead the development of business-critical mobile applications used in real-world logistics and connected device environments, whilst working closely with backend engineers, designers, and product teams.

You will play a key role in shaping the future mobile strategy as the business transitions from Flutter-based applications back to native mobile development, giving you significant influence over architecture, technical direction, and user experience.

Their products involve native mobile development, device connectivity, API-driven integrations, and user-focused application design, creating opportunities to work across a varied and technically interesting product suite.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain native iOS applications using Swift
Support and enhance Android applications where required
Lead the migration of selected mobile applications from Flutter to native platforms
Build integrations with BLE-enabled devices and hardware products
Consume and integrate RESTful APIs connected to a logistics platform
Collaborate with backend developers, designers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality products
Ensure applications meet high standards of performance, usability, and reliability
Contribute to mobile architecture, technical decisions, and development best practices

Requirements

Strong commercial experience developing iOS applications using Swift
Good Android development experience
Experience building and maintaining mobile applications throughout the full development lifecycle
Strong understanding of mobile UI and UX principles
Experience integrating REST APIs into mobile applications
Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical delivery
Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
