• Previous experience in a food service role is a plus, but not required

Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Catering Assistant to join our team at Trythall School, in Penzance. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our food service operations, ensuring high-quality meals are prepared and served to our customers in a timely and efficient manner. This position is 15hrs Monday to Friday - 10.30 til 1.30pm. You will be collecting food from Madron Daniel School and Delivering and serving at Trythall. OWN TRANSPORT ESSENTIAL, MILEAGE PAID BETWEEN SCHOOLS

• Assist in the preparation of delicious meals and snacks, following recipes and portion guidelines
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, counter, and dining areas
• Comply with all health and safety regulations and food safety standards
• Provide friendly and efficient customer service during meal service
• Assist with food inventory management and stock rotation
• Operate and clean kitchen equipment and utensils
• Adapt to changing priorities and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
