Kitchen Porter

We are currently recruiting for a Kitchen Porter to join our team at one of our independent schools in Sheffield S10 3DH.

This is a term-time only position working 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 12:00pm to 3:00pm. The role will initially be offered on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

We are looking for a positive, honest and reliable employee to join our friendly and hardworking team. As a Kitchen Porter, you'll play a key role in ensuring a smooth lunch service for staff and pupils. Your responsibilities will include washing up and restocking plates, cutlery, glassware and large gastro trays, as well as unpacking deliveries, taking out bins and keeping the kitchen clean, tidy and organised. You may also be asked to assist with some light food preparation by your Chef Manager.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Have experience working in a similar role and environment
• Be highly organised and comfortable working in a high-pressured environment
• Ensure you have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety
• Have a can do attitude and will work well as part of a team
