The role
Shape the Future of Our Installation Network at Wickes!
At Wickes, we're passionate about creating a workplace where everyone belongs. We know that diverse teams bring better ideas, richer experiences, and stronger connections with our customers. Whether you come from an established account management background or have hands-on experience within the kitchen, bathroom, and home improvement installation industry, we want to hear from you!
We are looking for a dedicated and inspiring professional to join us as a Field Installation Manager.
Role Purpose
To lead our network of Wickes Approved Installers within a specified area, creating and developing strong, collaborative relationships. You'll maximise profitability and ensure that quality and service levels consistently meet and exceed our customers' expectations.
What you'll be doing
- Leadership & Motivation: Lead, develop, and retain a team of installers, fostering a customer-focused mindset and driving high performance and satisfaction rates (including VOC metrics).
- Service Standards & Capacity: Ensure all installer service level agreements (SLAs) are executed to business standards, maintaining appropriate coverage and utilisation across the network to meet installation volumes and sales targets.
- Cost Control & Compliance: Negotiate and administer cost controls, ensuring deductions are applied appropriately, and guarantee that all installers comply fully with legal, health & safety legislation (including Part P, Gas Safe, Asbestos regulations, etc.).
- Stakeholder & Quality Management: Mitigate customer dissatisfaction and brand risk through robust stakeholder relationships, acting as a key escalation point for complaint resolution. Drive installation standards through structured site visits.
What we're looking for
- Background & Experience: A degree is preferred but not essential. Demonstrable experience working with best practices, performance management, on-site installations, subcontractors, and improving Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Core Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication, listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities. The ability to juggle multiple projects with careful attention to detail, handle data confidentially, and assess/mitigate business risk.
- Mindset & Values: A continuous improvement and safety-conscious mindset, methodical approach to work, and personal ethics tightly aligned with Wickes principles. A strong drive to support and champion our apprenticeship programmes.
What can we offer you?
- You'll be supported with fantastic learning and development and have the opportunity to grow and develop your career with us. We also have an early-career network to support you if you're in your first few years of your career.
- We'll also equip you with a benefits package that includes:
- Competitive bonus
- Save-as-you-earn scheme
- Private Medical and Life Assurance
- Enhanced contributory pension scheme
- Colleague discount
- Discount platform including savings and cash back at numerous retailers, savings on gym membership, cycle to work scheme
Our widely recognised wellbeing strategy is something we're proud of at Wickes. As part of this, we offer a range of health and wellbeing benefits and support, including an Employee Assistance Programme, financial education & loans, and access to parental, menopause and fertility support.
By giving you the support you need to do well at work, and the flexibility to make life work for you. We are giving you a career that doesn't put your life on hold. Where you can be yourself, do your best work, and make a positive difference every day.
