EHS Specialist

Strategy Deployment and Programme Coordination

• Support the implementation of the WMFTS and Group EHS strategy through annual planning, communications, implementation tools and programme coordination.
• Coordinate global EHS programmes and improvement initiatives, tracking milestones, risks, dependencies, actions and outcomes.
• Develop guidance materials, toolkits, campaigns and training resources to support consistent implementation of EHS standards across the organisation.
• Facilitate collaboration and engagement across divisional and site EHS teams, helping to build capability and strengthen EHS culture.

Governance, Reporting and Performance Management

• Manage the global EHS governance calendar and coordinate inputs for monthly and quarterly business reviews, executive reporting and Group reporting cycles.
• Produce high-quality dashboards, reports and performance analysis, highlighting trends, risks, challenges and opportunities for improvement.
• Maintain governance records, decision logs, action trackers and reporting repositories, ensuring actions are progressed and escalated where appropriate.
• Coordinate governance forums and meetings, including agendas, papers, minutes and communication of key decisions.
• Coordinate oversight of critical control verification, monitoring completion, quality and significant findings, and escalating material gaps where required.

Data, Analytics and Systems

• Lead the collection, validation and analysis of EHS performance data across multiple regions, divisions and sites.
• Use data analytics and benchmarking to identify trends, risks, recurring themes and opportunities for improvement.
• Act as a system administrator and superuser for EHS platforms and reporting tools, including Ideagen, Power BI and SharePoint.
• Drive continuous improvement of EHS reporting processes, data quality standards and management information systems.
• Provide practical guidance and coaching to EHS teams and system users, strengthening capability in reporting, incident learning, assurance, action management and implementation of Group standards.

Assurance, Compliance and Continuous Improvement

• Coordinate the monitoring and reporting of EHS legal-compliance arrangements, working with local EHS teams and external providers to identify material gaps and monitor associated actions.
• Maintain assurance schedules and support audit, inspection and compliance activities across the business.
• Monitor corrective and preventive actions through to closure and escalate significant issues where necessary.
• Support the effective classification, investigation and analysis of significant EHS events, including the quality review of investigation outputs, corrective actions and organisation-wide learning
• Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, governance and programme delivery based on performance data and stakeholder feedback.

Communication, Collaboration and Learning

• Act as a central connector across the global EHS community, promoting best-practice sharing, consistency and collaboration.
• Build effective working relationships with EHS professionals, business leaders and key functional stakeholders across the organisation.
• Support environmental and sustainability reporting activities where they intersect with EHS governance, systems and assurance processes.
