The role

More than a job. A chance to change someone's life.

You bring the patience. We'll bring the training. Together, you can help someone achieve things they never thought possible.

We're looking for an experienced Support Worker to join our supported living service in Lowestoft, supporting people with complex needs to live fuller, more independent lives.

This isn't a role where you simply tick boxes and complete tasks. You'll get to know the people you support, understand what matters to them and help them make choices, build confidence and achieve their goals.

And because everyone is different, every day is different.

📍 Lowestoft
⏰ up to 35 hours per week - full and part time available

💷 £13.89-£15.39 per hour, plus overtime and enhancements

What could your day look like?

You might be supporting someone to:

  • Get ready for their day and manage their usual routines
  • Learn a new skill or become more independent
  • Get out into the community and do something they enjoy
  • Take part in an activity, day trip or outing
  • Manage moments of distress and regain confidence
  • Work towards a personal goal
  • Try something new for the first time

You'll provide personal care where needed, offer emotional reassurance and follow individual Positive Behaviour Support plans.

You'll also support people who may have mental health conditions, autism, behaviours of distress, trauma or potential forensic histories.

It can be challenging. It can also be incredibly rewarding.

We're looking for someone who gets it.

You'll already have experience as a Support Worker and understand that great support is about the person, not just the task.

You'll be someone who:

  • Builds trust through patience and consistency
  • Stays calm when situations become challenging
  • Is confident supporting people with complex needs
  • Understands Positive Behaviour Support
  • Values reflective practice and learning from experience
  • Encourages people rather than doing things for them
  • Believes everyone deserves the opportunity to grow, make choices and have a good life

Most importantly, you'll see the person behind the support needs.
