Unity Spark is a browser-based game creator built with the Unity engine. Creators work with an AI agent and with each other to build their games. It combines an AI chat and a full game editor with real-time collaboration built in. We're exploring new AI-first interfaces for real-time 3D. It isn't about generating a game from one prompt. It's about collaboration and giving people the depth to build what they have in mind.

We're looking for a senior product designer to help shape that experience. You'll be on a small team where designers prototype in code and ship to production. You'll look at how creators use Spark, find where they get stuck, and help set the direction for the product.

  • Experience making games or building game tools
  • Experience with creative or editor tools
  • Experience with real-time multi-user products

The role

Unity Spark is a browser-accessible game creation tool built with the Unity engine. Creators collaborate with an AI agent as well as with each other to develop their games. The platform combines a conversational interface with an AI, a full game editor, and integrated real-time collaboration features.

We are exploring new AI-centric interfaces for real-time 3D creation. This is not about generating a game from a simple prompt, but about fostering collaboration and providing users with tools advanced enough to bring their ideas to life.

We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to help us shape this experience. You will join a small team where designers create code-based prototypes and deploy them to production. You will analyze how creators use Spark, identify the difficulties they encounter, and contribute to defining the product direction.

What you'll do

  • Own the user experience of the conversational AI interface, the game editor, and the real-time collaboration features.
  • Watch how creators use Spark, gather their feedback, and translate it into priority problems to solve.
  • Explore new concepts for AI-first, real-time 3D interfaces and create prototypes using React and AI tools.
  • Design experiences tailored for both desktop and mobile web.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and AI teams to transform ideas into concrete features deployed to users.
  • Own the UX across the AI chat, the game editor and real-time collaboration
  • Watch how creators use Spark, gather their feedback and turn it into the most important problems to solve
  • Explore new concepts for AI-first, real-time 3D interfaces and prototype them in React and with AI tools
  • Design for both desktop and mobile web
  • Work with product, engineering and AI teams to turn ideas into shipped features
