The role

Chilmington Green School is a co-educational, non-selective Secondary school which opened in September 2023. It will grow to become a 6-form entry school with a sixth form of 240 pupils. The school will build on United Learning's successful track record locally and nationally, providing an excellent secondary education for local children. Our values of Ambition, Respect and Determination underpin the ethos and culture of our school. Furthermore, being part of a newly establishing school offers excellent professional development and future career prospects.

We are seeking a Student Support Assistant to join our growing staff team and to work closely alongside our students.

The role is suitable for candidates with experience of working with children to assist in promoting children's learning and personal development, enabling each child to make the best use of the educational opportunities available to them.

You will have experience in establishing supportive relationships with students and in promoting the inclusion of students with SEN. Alongside this, you will be confident in supporting and monitoring children's learning and, where appropriate, modifying or adapting activities as agreed with the teacher to achieve the intended learning outcomes.

You will have experience in forming and maintaining appropriate professional relationships with students and adults working in the school and demonstrate the ability to be an effective team member, modelling commitment to student learning.

This vacancy represents an exciting opportunity to join an ambitious organisation that works within the nationally renowned United Learning Trust. We are an inclusive employer and welcome applications from all candidates eager to play an important role in the growth of our school.
