Skills
United Learning is hiring for this role in several places. This vacancy is in Southwick.
The role
We are seeking a strong and ambitious primary leader who has a proven track record of improving outcomes, developing staff and leading schools on a journey from good to great. This is an exciting opportunity to build on the many strengths of Glebe Primary School and shape the next stage of its development.
Glebe Primary School is a warm, welcoming and inclusive school with much to be proud of. Strong relationships between staff, pupils, parents and governors sit at the heart of the school, creating a positive environment in which children feel safe, valued and ready to learn. Our dedicated staff team is committed to providing the very best for every child and shares a genuine determination to see the school continue to improve.
Whilst Glebe Primary School has strong foundations, we are ambitious for what comes next. We know there is further work to do to ensure that every child achieves as highly as possible and that the school fulfils its considerable potential. We are therefore looking for a Principal with the vision, resilience and expertise to build on existing strengths, drive consistently high standards and lead sustained improvement.
The successful candidate will bring both optimism and determination: someone who values relationships and community, but who is also uncompromising in their belief that every child deserves an excellent education. They will be able to unite staff behind a clear vision, develop leadership at all levels and create a culture in which high expectations translate into exceptional outcomes.
This is an opportunity for a leader who can recognise what is special about Glebe Primary School whilst having the skill and ambition to lead it confidently into its next chapter.
We are committed to fairness, diversity and inclusion. We are currently working hard to improve the representation of black, Asian and minority ethnic leaders at headship level and to raise our proportion of women leaders to match their representation in our widerworkforce. Whoever you are, if you have a strong track record of improving young people's education and a drive to do more, we very much look forward to hearing from you.
