We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Staff Nurse to join our Oncology Inpatients team at The London Clinic.
We are particularly interested in hearing from experienced oncology nurses who would like to build on their specialist skills within a supportive team. We also welcome applications from nurses with acute medical experience who can demonstrate a strong interest in cancer care and a commitment to developing within the specialty. Relevant training and development opportunities are available to support this transition.
Based in our dedicated cancer centre, you will care for adults at different stages of their cancer journey, including those receiving active treatment, supportive symptom management and end of life care. You will have the opportunity to build trusting relationships with patients and their families, providing clinical expertise, reassurance and compassionate support when they need it most.
Working alongside experienced nurses, specialist practitioners and the wider multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to care that recognises each patient's individual needs and wishes. With support from our Clinical Practice Educator, you will continue to develop your oncology knowledge and clinical skills, with opportunities to work towards SACT administration competencies where appropriate.
You will be a compassionate and clinically attentive nurse who understands the importance of both skilled nursing care and sensitive communication. You will bring a collaborative approach, sound judgement and a genuine commitment to supporting people affected by cancer.
You will join a team who understand the demands of cancer nursing and the importance of supporting one another. Working alongside experienced nurses, consultants and specialist practitioners, you will have colleagues to learn from, share ideas with and turn to for advice. Whether you bring specialist oncology experience or are developing your skills in cancer care, your contribution will be valued.
At The London Clinic, we care about the people delivering care as much as those receiving it. As an independent charitable hospital, we reinvest in our people and services, supporting learning and development so you can continue to grow. Together, we work to ensure patients and their families feel listened to, understood and cared for throughout their time with us.
Based in our main hospital, you'll be part of a team delivering care across 234 beds, 10 theatres and a 13-bed intensive care unit. You will work alongside more than 1,300 colleagues in specialist teams and over 700 consultant surgeons and physicians, all united by a shared commitment to high quality, compassionate care.
We are incredibly proud to be the only independent healthcare provider included in the Top 10 of the Financial Times UK Best Employers Survey 2026.
