Resident Experience Coordinator
SPACE Student Accommodation | St Andrews
Join us in creating more than just a place to live.
At SPACE, we believe student accommodation should be about much more than providing a room. We want to create a vibrant, welcoming community where residents feel at home, make lasting friendships and enjoy an exceptional student experience.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, personable and highly organised Resident Experience Coordinator to join our team at SPACE St Andrews.
This is a varied, hands-on role combining resident engagement, event management, customer service and day-to-day property operations. You will play a central part in bringing our community together, supporting residents throughout their stay and ensuring SPACE continues to be somewhere students are proud to call home.
What you'll be doing
Creating an exceptional resident experience
-
Plan, promote and deliver an engaging calendar of resident events, including social activities, wellbeing initiatives, sporting events and local experiences.
-
Build genuine relationships with residents, helping new arrivals settle in and encouraging everyone to feel part of the SPACE community.
-
Identify opportunities to improve resident satisfaction, acting on feedback and introducing new ideas to keep our events and activities relevant.
-
Work with local businesses, universities and community partners to create memorable experiences.
-
Coordinate all aspects of events, including budgets, suppliers, promotion, attendance and feedback.
-
Support residents who may be experiencing isolation or difficulties, ensuring any welfare concerns are appropriately escalated.
Reception and day-to-day operations
-
Provide a warm, professional welcome to residents, visitors and short-term guests, delivering exceptional customer service at every opportunity.
-
Support the daily operation of reception, responding to enquiries in person, by telephone and email.
-
Manage incoming parcels and deliveries, ensuring they are accurately recorded, securely stored and efficiently distributed to residents.
-
Assist with resident administration, including tenancy enquiries, check-ins, check-outs and maintaining accurate records.
-
Support the management of resident rent accounts, monitoring outstanding balances, following up on arrears and assisting with payment arrangements in accordance with company procedures.
-
Work closely with the wider operations team to resolve resident concerns, coordinate maintenance requests and maintain high standards throughout the property.
Supporting sales and the SPACE community
-
Play an active role in encouraging resident rebookings, building relationships that help students choose SPACE for another year.
-
Support property tours, open days and prospective resident visits, showcasing everything SPACE has to offer.
-
Work alongside the sales and marketing teams to promote events, share resident success stories and create engaging content for social media.
-
Help short-term guests make the most of their stay by introducing them to our facilities, services and local experiences.
-
Work collaboratively with colleagues across the property to ensure a consistent and exceptional experience for everyone.
What we're looking for
We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with people and takes pride in making a difference.
You'll ideally bring:
-
Experience in student accommodation, hospitality, events, customer service or a similar people-focused environment.
-
A naturally outgoing, approachable personality with the confidence to engage with people from different backgrounds and cultures.
-
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
-
Creativity and enthusiasm for developing events and experiences that people genuinely want to attend.
-
Strong communication skills, with a professional and empathetic approach to resolving concerns.
-
Good administrative skills, attention to detail and confidence working with IT systems.
-
A proactive attitude and willingness to get involved in all aspects of property operations.
-
Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends to support resident events and activities.
Previous experience in student accommodation is advantageous, but what matters most is your attitude, personality and commitment to delivering an outstanding resident experience.
