Seasonal Catering Assistant

📍Location: Blooms Café & Restaurant, Otley Garden Centre

📆Start date: As soon as you're available, in accommodation with notice periods.

Working Hours: 2x 4 hour shifts on Saturdays & Sundays, 8 hours per week

Your goal will be to provide a warm welcome to all our Blooms restaurant visitors and do everything you can to make their trip a memorable one. You will be responsible for ensuring customers are served quickly and accurately, operating the tills, ensuring the restaurant area is impeccably clean and supporting the team with whatever is needed to help create a great working environment.

As a Catering Assistant your role includes but is not limited to these duties:

• Welcoming and seating customers

• Taking customer orders

• Assist with menu and beverage recommendations

• Preparing and serving beverage and food orders

• Setting tables

• Cash handling

• Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely manner

• Cleaning tables and removing used cutlery

• Communicating effectively with the kitchen and staff members

• Reporting to shifts on time in impeccable uniform.

• Friendly and sociable.

• Good attention to detail

• Willingness to learn new skills

• Is flexible to work additional shifts if required

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Knowledge of restaurant procedures
