Mechanical Engineer - Water Sector

We're looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our Water team in Newcastle. Working alongside experienced engineers, technical specialists and digital experts, you'll contribute to a wide range of treatment, pumping and infrastructure projects while building your technical capability through structured mentoring and professional development.

• Support the delivery of mechanical engineering solutions across major water and wastewater programmes.
• Develop your experience throughout the full project lifecycle, from concept design to construction support.

As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll support the delivery of mechanical engineering design across a diverse portfolio of water infrastructure projects while continuing to develop your technical knowledge and professional experience.

• Producing mechanical engineering designs for water and wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations and associated infrastructure.
• Preparing technical calculations, equipment schedules, specifications and engineering documentation.
• Supporting feasibility studies, optioneering and detailed design activities.
• Working collaboratively with Project Managers, multidisciplinary teams and clients to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
• Assisting with technical reviews and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Continuing your professional development with the support of experienced engineers and mentors.
