In this role, you'll gain hands-on experience while supporting the wider Compliance function through:

• Assisting with compliance monitoring activities and reviewing potential compliance or financial crime risks.
• Supporting the analysis of alerts, transactions, and customer information to identify unusual or suspicious activity.
• Conducting research and gathering information from a variety of sources to support investigations and compliance reviews.
• Preparing reports, management information, and dashboards for internal stakeholders.
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring documentation is stored in line with regulatory and internal requirements.
• Supporting regulatory reporting and broader compliance projects as required.
• Working closely with colleagues across the business to respond to queries and promote a culture of compliance.
• Keeping up to date with regulatory developments, industry trends, and emerging risks.

Experience 

• 1-2 years' experience in a compliance, banking, financial services, risk, operations, or other regulated environment.
• Exposure to compliance monitoring, financial crime, customer due diligence (CDD), AML, risk management, audit, governance, or regulatory reporting activities would be advantageous.
• Experience handling sensitive or confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
• Strong administrative and organisational skills, with the ability to manage routine tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• The ability to analyse information, identify trends or anomalies, and escalate issues where appropriate.

Qualifications

Essential:

• Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent.
• Good standard of numeracy and written communication.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Desirable:

• Degree in Business, Finance, Law, Economics, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
• Professional compliance or financial crime qualification, or a willingness to study towards one (such as the International Compliance Association (ICA) Certificate, Advanced Certificate in Compliance, or AML qualifications).
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements applicable to the banking or financial services sector.
