Chef

• Previous experience working as a Chef or Cook.
• NVQ Level 2 in Professional Cookery (or equivalent).
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Experience working in a busy catering environment.

Spire Nottingham Hospital is looking for an experienced Chef to join our friendly catering team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys preparing high-quality meals, maintaining excellent food hygiene standards, and working in a professional healthcare setting.

As part of our catering team, you'll help deliver nutritious, well-presented meals to patients, staff and consultants while supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the hospital kitchen.

• Preparing and cooking freshly made meals to a high standard.
• Assisting with food preparation, including vegetable preparation and ingredient handling.
• Serving food and beverages to patients, staff, consultants and visitors.
• Supporting catering services in both the restaurant and ward areas as required.
• Managing stock rotation, date checks and ensuring food is stored safely.
• Maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness, hygiene and food safety.
• Following all health and safety policies and procedures.
