Job field:

Business Support and IT

At Skanska, we're shaping the way we live, work and connect. As one of the world's largest construction and development companies, we work together with customers, communities and partners to shape a better society.

You will be working in the Technology and Sustainability OU based at our Lower Thames Crossing Project in where we are responsible for harnessing digital transformation and innovation to meet ambitious climate goals and deliver sustainable solutions for our customers.

The Lower Thames Crossing (LTC) is one of the UK's most significant infrastructure projects. LTC is a new road that will connect Kent and Essex through a tunnel beneath the River Thames and will be the greenest road ever built in the UK - creating six times more green space than road. The reliable new route will almost double road capacity over the river east of London to reduce congestion and give millions of people more choice on where they live, work and spend their valuable time. We have a diverse programme team on LTC that reflects the communities we work in and fosters an inclusive culture by actively supporting the programme's Purpose, Principles and Cultural Pillars and growing employee networks.

We are currently looking for a Senior Social Value Manager who will plan, lead and deliver Lower Thames Crossing contractual requirements for social value benefits. This role will collaborate closely with the other Delivery Partners to maximise local opportunity to drive sustainable economic growth by bringing skills, employment and education to the area.

We are looking for

  • Knowledge and experience of developing a social value strategy and delivery plan, ideally within a construction environment.
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to develop positive internal and external relationships.
  • Drive and enthusiasm to bring internal and external commitment and involvement.
  • Organisation skills and enthusiasm to execute plans to high standards of success.
  • Strong team management skills.

Flexible working

Where possible, we offer a range of flexible working options, and we would be happy to discuss this at the application stage if this is something you'd like to explore.
