Protective Security Consultant

Martyn's Law is changing the way businesses approach public safety. Help organisations understand their obligations, identify vulnerabilities and implement practical protective security measures that make a real difference.

Shield Safety is expanding its protective security consultancy offering and is looking for experienced Protective Security Consultants to join our network of subcontract associates.

Working with hotels, restaurants, leisure venues, retailers and other publicly accessible premises, you'll help clients identify terrorism-related vulnerabilities, assess existing arrangements and implement practical, proportionate measures aligned with the requirements of Martyn's Law.

This is a consultancy role for professionals who can engage confidently with customers, facilitate meaningful discussions, challenge assumptions and provide clear, practical recommendations that can be implemented in the real world.

We're particularly interested in hearing from:

• Former Counter Terrorism Security Advisors (CTSAs)
• Former Police Protective Security Advisors
• Former NaCTSO advisers
• Protective Security Consultants
• Security Risk Management Consultants
• Resilience or Business Continuity professionals with relevant protective security experience

You'll ideally have:

• At least five years' relevant experience
• Experience conducting vulnerability and risk assessments
• Strong client-facing consultancy skills
• Experience producing reports, recommendations and action plans
• ACT Awareness and ACT Security training
• Experience supporting publicly accessible venues and premises

Competitive day rates available, depending on experience and qualifications.

If you're an experienced security professional who enjoys advising clients, solving complex challenges and helping organisations implement practical protective security measures, we'd love to hear from you.
