The role
Vacancy Summary
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Logistics Team Leader to join our dayshift operation at Dalton.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring someone who can organise and coordinate daily activities while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and productivity.
A key part of the role will involve overseeing pack building and preparation activities, so the successful candidate must have a good practical understanding of pack building and be confident reading and interpreting drawings to ensure packs are constructed accurately and to the required specification.

The right person will not be afraid to get involved, question something that does not look right or challenge poor standards. We need someone who is organised, observant and accountable, and who understands that safety and quality cannot be compromised simply to get the job done.
Above all, we are looking for someone who can lead by example, take ownership and help drive consistently high standards across the Dalton logistics operation.

- Identify and resolve operational issues proactively, taking ownership through to completion.
- Promote safe working practices and challenge non-compliance where necessary.
- Communicate effectively across teams and support operational demands as required.
- Maintain good housekeeping and consistent standards across shifts.

- Pack building knowledge and experience
- Ability to read and interpret drawings
- Strong attention to detail

- Safety-conscious approach
- Ability to work independently
- Practical problem-solving ability
- Confidence to challenge unsafe or unacceptable practices
- Good communication and team leadership skills
