The role

What you'll do

You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:

Prevent and deter unauthorised access to site. Monitor fire alarms, intruder alarms and CCTV as appropriate
Conduct external and internal security patrols as detailed in the Assignment Instructions
Carry out routine tests of security equipment where appropriate
Manage keys and perform locking and unlocking duties as detailed in the Assignment Instructions
Maintain all logbooks and records as detailed in the Assignment Instructions
Issue visitor/contractor passes in accordance with the Assignment Instructions
Provide support, guidance and information to all staff, visitors and contractors whilst ensuring safeguarding of the premises

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who sees a different world—someone who values teamwork, shows initiative, and wants to grow. Ideally, you’ll have:

A valid SIA licence
A valid CCTV licence
3+ years security experience
Knowledge of access control systems
The right to work in the UK, with a 5-year checkable history
Punctual and reliable
Strong communication skills in English—both written and spoken

We are looking for a professional and customer-focused Security Officer to join our team at a prestigious and high-profile client site within the science and innovation sector. You will play a key role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, contractors, and assets, while delivering exceptional customer service and upholding the highest standards of professionalism🛡️

As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for carrying out security patrols, monitoring CCTV and alarm systems, managing site access, issuing visitor passes, and responding to incidents when required. You will also support day-to-day site operations through key management, traffic control, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring all security procedures are followed.
