The role
We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Maintenance Manager to lead a large, multi-skilled engineering function within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a senior leadership position requiring an individual who has successfully managed teams of up to 25 engineers and supervisors, driven significant performance improvements, and created a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will be a strong people leader who can inspire, challenge and develop others whilst taking full ownership of engineering performance, site reliability, and operational excellence. They will be comfortable making difficult decisions, leading change initiatives, influencing stakeholders at all levels, and ensuring the engineering function delivers against business objectives.
We recognise that the right candidate may not be local to the site and are therefore open to applications from experienced Maintenance Managers across the UK. A relocation package is available for the successful candidate, providing support for individuals looking to relocate and join the business on a long-term basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, develop and manage a maintenance team of up to 25 FTEs, creating a high-performance culture.
- Drive engineering reliability, planned preventative maintenance and continuous improvement strategies.
- Take ownership of departmental KPIs, budgets, engineering performance and resource planning.
- Lead organisational change, improving ways of working and embedding best practice across the engineering function.
- Build strong relationships with production and senior leadership teams to support site-wide objectives.
