The role

Your opportunity

Are you an experienced knowledge or information management professional who enjoys turning complex content into clear, accessible and valuable resources?

We have an exciting opportunity for a Bid Knowledge Manager to create and lead Ridge's approach to bid knowledge management. As this is a new role, you will have the opportunity to build a central digital knowledge hub from the ground up and shape how knowledge is captured, organised, maintained and shared across the business.

Working with bid, technical, marketing, systems and IT colleagues across the UK, you will help our teams find high-quality, approved content quickly and produce stronger, more consistent submissions. Your work will improve collaboration, save time and support Ridge's continued growth.

The role can be based from any Ridge UK office. You will work with colleagues across the country and will normally spend at least three days each week working from a Ridge office.

What you'll do

Reporting to the Director of Pursuits, you will be the central point of contact for bid knowledge management across Ridge. You will:

  • Design and implement a central digital knowledge hub for bid and work-winning content.
  • Work with bid teams and technical stakeholders to understand what information is needed, where it currently sits and how it should be organised.
  • Create a clear information architecture, taxonomy and metadata structure that makes content easy to find and use.
  • Lead the migration of existing CVs, case studies, capability statements, previous responses, company information and graphics into the new hub.
  • Establish clear content ownership, review and archiving processes to ensure information remains accurate, current and compliant.
  • Monitor the quality and use of the hub, identifying knowledge gaps and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Develop measures of success, including usage, user satisfaction, time savings and content quality.
  • Explore ways to improve search capabilities and use AI responsibly to support elements of bid content production.
  • Build strong relationships across Ridge and promote a culture of knowledge sharing through guidance, training and user resources.
  • Ensure the hub complements Ridge's intranet and other relevant information and procurement platforms.

What we're looking for

  • Experience managing a digital knowledge repository, content library or information management system.
  • Experience developing taxonomies, metadata structures and content governance processes.
  • An understanding of bid management, proposal development or professional services environments.
  • Strong document management and organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to connect technical requirements with business needs.
  • The confidence to influence stakeholders and encourage consistent ways of working.
  • The ability to simplify complex information and identify patterns, gaps and opportunities for improvement.
  • Strong planning skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • A proactive, collaborative and improvement-focused approach.
