We are seeking an experienced, motivated and reliable Welder/Fabricator to join our Highways Operations team.

You will undertake welding, cutting, grinding and fabrication work using appropriate equipment and techniques. All work must be undertaken in accordance with the Council's risk assessments and health and safety policies. You will be expected to maintain appropriate records of work completed, materials used and any additional repairs required.

Work will be undertaken within a workshop environment and, when necessary, at highway, depot and other operational locations throughout Rhondda Cynon Taf.

You must be flexible and available to meet the Council's needs, including responding to emergencies and working overtime when necessary.

This permanent position will be located at the Highways Department in Abercynon Depot. For an informal discussion or to obtain further information about this position, please contact James Barry, Streetcare & Highways Operations Manager at James.Barry@rctcbc.gov.uk.
