We're looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and energetic Breakfast Assistant to join our Food & Beverage team and help our guests start their day the Wonderfully Wotton way!

They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and we couldn't agree more! Whether it's serving that all-important morning coffee, welcoming guests with a smile or making sure our breakfast buffet looks its very best, you'll play a huge part in creating a fantastic first impression.

Our mornings can be wonderfully varied, from guests enjoying a leisurely countryside escape to wedding parties sharing stories from the night before and business guests getting ready for a busy day ahead.

We're looking for someone who loves meeting new people, enjoys being part of a team and knows that sometimes it's the little things that make the biggest difference.

You don't need to be a morning person who jumps out of bed singing (although we won't stop you!), but a positive attitude, a passion for hospitality and a willingness to get stuck in are a must!

You'll be:

• Welcoming our guests with a warm smile and a cheerful good morning, helping them feel right at home

• Delivering friendly, attentive and efficient breakfast service to ensure every guest has a fantastic start to their day

• Taking food and beverage orders, serving hot drinks and ensuring guests have everything they need

• Setting up and replenishing our breakfast buffet, making sure everything is beautifully presented, fresh and ready to enjoy

• Preparing the restaurant for breakfast service, including setting tables and ensuring everything is clean, organised and welcoming

• Clearing and resetting tables efficiently while maintaining a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere

• Being on hand to answer guest questions, provide recommendations and assist with dietary requirements and allergen enquiries in line with our procedures

• Working closely with our Kitchen team to ensure food is served promptly and to our high standards

• Keeping the restaurant, service stations and breakfast areas clean, tidy and well-stocked throughout service

• Supporting with the breakdown of breakfast service and preparing the restaurant for the next part of the day

• Following food hygiene, health & safety and cleanliness standards at all times

• Supporting your colleagues, sharing ideas and getting stuck in when things get busy!

We're looking for someone who understands that a great breakfast isn't just about delicious food and a good cup of coffee - it's about making every guest feel wonderfully welcome.

You'll bring:

• Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel or hospitality environment would be advantageous, but isn't essential

• A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering excellent guest service

• A friendly, approachable and bubbly personality with a positive attitude

• Confidence in communicating with guests and making them feel comfortable and welcome

• Great teamwork skills and a willingness to support colleagues across the department

• The ability to stay calm, organised and cheerful during busy breakfast services

• Good attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness

• A proactive, hands-on approach and the ability to use your initiative

• A willingness to learn new skills and develop your knowledge of food, beverages and hospitality

• Reliability, punctuality and enthusiasm for being part of a busy team

• Availability to work early morning shifts, including weekends and bank holidays

Experience in a hotel or busy breakfast restaurant would be a bonus, but personality, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are just as important to us.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who brings positive energy, enjoys making people smile and understands that a warm welcome can make someone's entire day.

As part of our Food & Beverage team, you'll help create those little moments that make a big difference, from remembering someone's morning coffee order to making sure a guest celebrating a special occasion starts their day with a smile.
