Westfield House has an opportunity for a Support Worker to join our team.
Priory Westfield View is a residential service set within a one story building. We provide assessment and support for adults living with Learning Disability diagnosis, Autism or Mental Health but may present complex conditions.
Located in Market Weighton with good access to community services and close to the seaside, Westfield Road helps people to access the community as much as possible, to take part in meaningful activities, and to reduce the risk of moving back into a hospital setting.
Our service offers 24/7 specialist care which is designed to provide just the right level of support; we encourage individuals to develop the skills that they need to live as independently as possible. Within the home we continually promote the development of social skills, independent living and personal responsibility.
Individuals get involved in daily duties such as cooking, doing laundry and cleaning. Many enjoy the social occasions arranged within the community such as: eating out, going shopping, going to music concerts, football, trips to theme parks, and much more. Approximately a five minute walk away there are local shops in the market town centre and large supermarket.
Successful Applicants for this role will be required to attend person centred training.

It is not necessary to have experience of working with people with a learning disability/autism/mental health although this would be an advantage. However, you must demonstrate an understanding of the issues faced by people with learning disabilities and an enthusiasm for working and supporting them to take control of their lives.
Priory is a leading independent provider of mental healthcare and adult social care, supporting over 24,000 people every year across a network of around 270 locations. The people it supports may have addictions, mental health issues, learning disabilities, autism or one of many other conditions, and it delivers care through roles ranging from nurses, care assistants and support workers to managers and medical specialists.
Its services span addiction treatment, mental health support, eating disorder services, neurodiversity services, residential services, supported living, and both NHS and private healthcare, delivered through inpatient, outpatient and online programmes. Priory also states a goal of embedding a culture of openness, inclusion and trust where colleagues feel they belong, and that every colleague, patient and resident is treated with dignity and respect.
