Quantity Surveyor

Owen Daniels are currently recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support an established engineering contractor on a major industrial site in Ayrshire, Scotland.

This is an initial 3-6 month contract opportunity, supporting the commercial management and delivery of ongoing engineering works.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage commercial and contractual aspects of site-based projects.
• Prepare and review valuations, variations and applications for payment.
• Monitor project costs, budgets and financial performance.
• Liaise with site management, subcontractors and project teams.
• Support cost reporting, forecasting and commercial documentation.
• Identify and manage commercial risks throughout project delivery.

Location: Ayrshire, Scotland

Contract Length: 3-6 Months

Rate: £50 per hour

IR35 Status: Outside IR35

Job Type: Contract

• Previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within an industrial, mechanical or engineering environment.
• Strong understanding of commercial management and contract administration.
• Experience managing variations, valuations and project costs.
• Good communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently within a site-based project team.

Rate: £50 per hour
