This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week on a variable shift pattern. Please note that flexibility is required, as the rota will include some evening shifts from 4:00pm to 8:00pm, as well as some Saturdays.

As a Front of House Receptionist - Outpatients at our hospital, you'll have great communication, IT and keyboard skills. You're also able to explain sensitive or complicated information in a way that's clear, sympathetic and easy to understand. Ideally, you have experience of working in healthcare administration or on reception.

As a Front of House Receptionist - Outpatients, you will:

• Help people feel comfortable when they visit your department
• Use your empathy and customer service skills to build positive relationships
• Answer the phone, deal with consultant, medical secretary and patient enquiries, and book appointments
• Take ownership of and monitor a busy email inbox, responding to and actioning enquiries in a timely and professional manner
• Welcome patients in person, directing them to the appropriate waiting area
• Work closely with colleagues to ensure the department runs smoothly
• Prepare clinical paperwork, referral forms, charge sheets, and terms and conditions
